Guru Rinpoche Tour in Nepal and Tibet offers Guru Rinpoche (Guru Padmasambhava) is the great Buddhist master from 8th century having many spiritual aspects around Himalaya. He is widely introduced as second Buddha across the world. Guru Rinpoche is also introduced as practitioner of tantric Buddhism and regarded as the founder of the Nyingma tradition which is one of the major oldest school of Tibetan Buddhism. Guru Rinpoche is said to have taken eight forms as Guru Orgyan Dorje Chang, Guru Shakya Senge, Guru Pema Gyalpo, Guru Pema Jungne, Guru Loden Chokse, Guru Nyima Ozer, Guru Dorje Drolo and Guru Senge Dradog.

Guru Rinpoche or Guru Padmasambhava is worshipping as great spiritual leader in Nepal as during his time had visited various places of Nepal and got enlightenment at one of the cave of Himalaya. The major destinations around Kathmandu are Maratika, Timal, Namobuddha, Ashura Cave (Pharping),Yempi mahavihar or yempi monastery/ Yempi Lhakhang, Boudhanath Stupa and swayambhunath Stupa. There are many more sites out of Kathmandu which is related with Guru Rinpoche so we can extend programs accordingly.

In Tibetan Buddhism Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) is a character of Terma, a focus of Guru Yoga Practice so there are many of spiritual sites related with Guru Rinpoche in Tibet. Among them our program includes Ramoche Monastery, Mindrolling Monastery,Samye Monastery, Hepori, Chimphu, Dark yepa, Yongbu Lhakhang, Tranduk Monastery, Nyethang – Drolma Lhakhang, Potala Palace, Jokhang temple and Milarepa Caves.

ITINERARY:

Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel – overnight Hotel

After breakfast, drive to Pharping, visit Asura Cave, Yanglesho, self arisen Tara and Monastery. It is believed that Yanglesho and upper Asura cave has connection and Guru Rinpoche could traverse freely through solid matter, he used this narrow tunnel to move between Yangleshö Cave and the upper Asura Cave after drive back to Kathmandu O/N Hotel

Early Morning drive to Khotang (Maratika) or Halesi Mahadev temple, evening visit Maratika cave which is sacred cave of Guru Rinpoche (Guru Padmasambhava) and Dakini Mandarava O/N Guest house

After Breakfast, start spiritual tour to Maratika caves and other sites. According to Tibetan Buddhism entire Maratika is the site of immortality and one of the six supreme pilgrimage sites in the world. It is the place where the great master Guru Rinpoche and Dakini Mandarava obtained the realization of immortal life. Maratika was also blessed by the family of three protectors Manjushri, Vajrapani and Avalokiteshvara. O/N At guest House

After Breakfast, drive to Timal, Timal is ethnic village in Kavre district and famous for Bodhichitta (Praying Beads) which has strong historical connection with Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche). According to spiritual inscriptions Guru Rinpoche blessed reside in Timal Kingdom after his journey back from Tibet. So there are many spiritual sites related with Guru rinpoche including small lake, meditation caves and monastery. It is believed that Guru Rinpoche is the person who had originated Praying beads (Bodhichitta) and Timal itself is identified as village for those spiritual beads. After spiritual tour of Guru Rinpoche Nye drive back to Dhulikhel.

After Breakfast drive to namobuddha, Namobuddha is also known as homage of Buddha. It is one of the major Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal having great spiritual significance since thousands of year. According to legends, it is told that Buddha Mahasattva (incarnation of Shakyamuni Buddha) gave his body to the tigress having five cubs on hungry situation. After visiting Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery and other spiritual sites, drive back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast drive to Yempi Mahavihar Lalitpur which is built on 2200 years ago by Khatkuti Aju. Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava had meditate and stay as home in Nepal. Biography of Guru Rinpoche, there is mentioned that Yempi Lhakhang is one of main resident in Nepal out of three main residents of Ripoche as Uddiyana and Samye. Now it is secret extremely significant places for Buddhist followers. The Temple Yempi Mahavihar supports all traditions of Buddhism Therabad, Mahayana and Vajrayana. The place is wealth of Tantras and tantric scriptures so it is said there were many treasures and treasure teachings in this place. Likewise it is said that if we make prayers here at this place we never be reborn in hell and our prey will be accomplished and all obstacles will dispelled .Afternoon time for re-treat and worship. after visit other spiritual monuments at lalitpur city. Over night at Kathmandu.. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Arrival in Gonggar airport than transfer to Lhasa – overnight Hotel

In the morning visit the Potala palace, Jokhang Monastery and stroll along Barkkor Street. Afternoon, drive to Dark Yepa cave which is half an hour drive from Lhasa. Overnight at hotel

After breakfast drive to Tsurphu monastery, Explore around Tsurphu monastery and then drive back to Lhasa. Afternoon, visit Ramoche Monastery O/N Hotel

Drive to Samye Monastery on the way visit Mindrolling monastery. Samye Monastery is the first monastery established in Tibet by Guru Rinpoche and late afternoon drive to Hepori Mountain, (Hepori – place where Guru Rinpoche subdued negative forces O/N Hotel.

After early breakfast walk to Chimpu , visit Chimphu nunnery , Chimphu caves where Guru Rinpoche practiced Hayagriva and manifests as Kalden Drendze and caves where his disciples meditated. Overnight at Hotel.

In the morning drive to Shigatse via Gyantse. In Gyantse we visit Kubum stupa, Palkhor Monastery and Yamdrok Lake (one of the 4 sacred lakes of Tibet), then drive to Shigatse – overnight at Hotel.

After breakfast we visit the Tashilumpo Monastery, and drive towards old Tingri O/N Hotel

After breakfast, drive to Nyalam visit Milarepa cave than drive to Kyirong and on the way, visit another Milarepa cave before Kyirong town. O/N Kyirong hotel

After breakfast drive to China – Nepal border, after border formalities, drive to Kathmandu via Langtang National park – good nature and landscape O/N Hotel at Kathmandu.

Swayambhunath Stupa is an ancient spiritual destination on hill top of Kathmandu and believed it was self created on ancient period. This stupa has many legends and spiritual facts related with history, nature, formation of Kathmandu valley and animals.

Boudhanath Stupa dominates the skyline and on octagonal (Mandala) structure. It is one of the largest stupa in the world. It is centre for all Buddhist over the world so have more than 50 monasteries around. Boudhanath stupa is said to entomb the remains of Kassapa Buddha who was Buddha before Shakyamuni. In Tibetan this stupa is known as Yambu Chorten Chenpo. O/N Kathmandu

After Breakfast, departure Transfer to airport for final departure.
