OVERVIEW :
Lumba Sumba Trek lies on Kanchenjunga region eastern part of Nepal, Lumba Sumba pass and Lumba Sumba himal range lies between Makalu on west and Kanchenjunga on east. It is one of the most adventurous Himalaya pass with extremely wilderness experience. The trekking follows the ethnic villages and wild forest camp. This route was explored by Trekking leaders in 2012. Now this trekking becoming one of the most famous adventurous trekking in Nepal Himalaya. Offering some of the most spectacular Himalayan landscapes, this trekking route is home to different ethnic groups like the Limbus, Sherpas, Rai, Gurung, Magars, Newars and Tamangs. The Lumba Sumba Trek runs through Kanchenjunga Conservation Area (KCA) in the eastern Himalaya. Trekkers can explore the traditional farming practices and see different birds and wildlife species, including the endangered snow leopard and red panda, from the route. There are a number of high mountain lakes in Olangchung Gola. On the way we can see monasteries, chhortens, temples and prayer walls.
