OVERVIEW :
Mt. Lhotse Expedition 8516m, it is lies on Everest massif of Khumbu Region which is the fourth highest mountain in the world. It is east-west crest is located immediately south of Mt. Everest, and the summits of the two mountains are connected by the South Col, a vertical ridge that never drops below 8,000 meters. Lhotse has three summits: Lhotse main 8516 meters, Lhotse Shar 8383 meters and Lhotse Middle or East 8413 meters. Lhotse Main the Swiss was the first to climb Mount Lhotse expedition in 1956 on the West face, Lhotse Shar in 1979 and Lhotse Middle in 2001 by a Russian Expedition team. The South Face though attempted many times but was successfully climbed only in 1984 by a Czech expedition. Mount Lhotse Shar was first climbed by an Austrian expedition in 1970. Japanese, South Koreans, and Germans attempted from various routes on its main peak.
