OVERVIEW :

Everest Base Camp Tour with Lhasa will provide you sightseeing of Tashilumpo monastery in Shigatse, Khumbum Monastery in Gyantse, at Lhasa we will have sightseeing and excursion of the Potala Palace (A great museum with its proportions and priceless treasures) Jokhang Temple (the holiest of Tibetan shrines, houses two images of the Buddha brought as dowry by Songtsen Gampo Nepali and Chinese queens) along the bustling street of Barkhor Market. In Lhasa you will also visit Norbulingka (the summer palace of the Dalai Lamas), Drepung and Sera Monasteries. On The way we will drive to Rongbuk & visit North Face of Mt. Everest Base Camp. We can start this Everest Base Camp Tour from Lhasa or from Kathmandu.

ITINERARY:

Fly Kathmandu, Chengdu or Beijing to Lhasa in Tibet. O/N Hotel.

Visit Potala Palace, Norbulingka, Drepung & Seramonasteries, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Bazaar. O/N Hotel.

Drive to Gyantse passing the Yamdrok Tsho (Turquoise Lake) and crossing the Karo La pass. O/N Hotel.

Visit The Khumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. Drive via Shigatse across Tsou-lapass and Gyatso-la pass to Shakya Monastery. O/N Hotel.

Drive over Pangla pass to Rongphu Monastery situated below the giant North Face of Mt. Everest Monastery. O/N Guesthouse.

Day hike to North Mount Everest Base Camp (8 kms each way). Option to hire local horse drawn cart for the trip. O/N Guesthouse.

Longreturn drive over the passes to Shigatse. O/N Hotel.

Visit Tashilunpo Monastery and market. Drive to Lhasa. O/N Hotel.

Transfer to airport for flight to Kathmandu, Chengdu or Beijing.
