OVERVIEW :
Mt. Dhaulagiri Expedition 8167m, it is Lies west from Mt. Annapurna Region on west Nepal. Mt. Dhaulagiri Expedition is one of the world’s 14 above 8000 meter high mountains having most technical climbing so it needs the best quality of technical equipments, climbing proficiency on steep, exposed and technical skill and altitude experience above 7000m, 6+ rock and Ice climbing experience & highly motivated technically sound climber’s team. The weather is unpredictable which may change suddenly. There are high passes to reach Base camp 4,740m, the climb followed a roundabout route around the mountain from Tukuche, over Dhampus pass as French Col, to approach the summit from the North-East Col.
The History of Dhaulagiri Expedition established when eight members of a Swiss expedition conquered the summit in 1960. Many Mountaineering groups tried to made summit before 1960 but no one got success after this The Japanese Expedition (1970), the American Expedition (1973) and Italian Expedition (1976) submitted this mountain peak successfully. There are four High camps to summit after base camp( 4760m),Advance camp (5,300m),Camp I (5,900m),Camp II(6,400m), Camp III (7,200m) & Camp IV (7,500m). The climb now moves to the East Ridge to reach Camp IV.
