OVERVIEW :
Mt. Baruntse 7129m lies at the center of three glacier valleys, the Imja, Hunku, Barun and above the east and west col, in front of Mt. Makalu. Baruntse Expedition provides the panoramic views of high mountains including Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse & Mt. Makalu. The climbing of this mountain provides you the experience of snow & Ice cliff obstacle around 750m. The mountain was first ascended by Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow in 1954 by the South-East Ridge. The peak is crowned by four summits on four ridges with a high rate of successful ascent on normal route via South Ridge. Despite being a 7000m, Baruntse Expedition involves various 8000m climb components, thus offering itself as an ideal training peak for higher climbing. In this expedition our team will fix two high camps above the base camp ,the first camp is set up just below East Col. 5,700m and the second camp is on the South – East Ridge 6,420m.
