Peak Climbing

Nepal has different types of trekking Peak & Mountains ranges from 5,500 m to 8,848m, in between this altitude there are hundreds of mountain peaks which provide adventure of Peak climbing & expedition. Nepal government takes responsibility of formalities for all high Himalaya but for peak climbing & Expedition Nepal Mountaineering Association has authority to issue permits for small-scale peaks & Mountains Since 1978. Peak Expedition can be combined with trekking up to the base of high Himalaya or to cross high pass of the Himalaya with wilderness trial of adventurous destinations. The hundreds of snow peaks provides different experience of different trekking region in Himalaya, among them Island peak, Lobuche peak, Mera peak, Ramdung peak, Pokhasarmo peak ,Pisang peak, Chulus (East, west, Central) peaks , Yala peak are famous destinations for mountaineering groups. Many groups try & practice those peaks before their aim to summit High Mountains above 8,000 m.

Royalties of Peak Expedition
The formalities for Peak climbing will be done through (Nepal Mountaineering Association– NMA) but for higher mountains we need to issue permit through government, once we book the trip we will suggest you to send those documents on advance to proceed climbing permits. Nepal government also has decided to exempt royalty for ascending certain peaks. The government has announced partial and total exemption of royalty on 60 mountain peaks of the Kingdom of Nepal, so there are some mountain peaks which are free of Royalty for Mountain expedition for updates of royalties; please feel free to write us at [email protected]

Fitness and Technical experience
The Peak climbing needs some technical experience of rock climbing, Ice climbing, knowledge of high altitude trekking & Experience of Mountain Equipments. The trekking peak Expedition will be helpful to those who want to climb high Himalaya too. We suggest particular trekking peak expedition to make successful summit of Higher Mountain which depends up on experiences scale of technical part. The trekking peaks like Island peak, Lobuche peak in Everest Region will provide you experience to climb Mt. Amadablam & finally to summit of Mt. Everest.

Weather conditions in Nepal Himalaya
The condition of weather in Himalayas Range depends up on arrival of monsoon. Mountain expeditions are suggested on the dry season (April – May) for all higher mountains in Nepal & Tibet, the next season (October – November) comes as semi season for Mountaineering in this region. On the period of Expedition the night &day temperature become very cold with wind chill &temperature come down possibly as low as minus 20 degree centigrade so you must prepare the equipments & clothing accordingly. We suggest to bring very warm sleeping bag (-30c), an expedition weight down jacket and good quality down mitts.

Meal
We provide hygienic foods for all trekking & Expedition teams which stimulate your appetite despite frequent altitude induced loss of appetite ,Breakfast includes porridge and cereal followed by eggs (fried, boiled poached or omelet) and either bread or chapattis with jam, honey, peanut butter etc. Lunch starts with juice and may include chips, rice, lentils, vegetables, salad, sandwiches, beans, tinned fish and tinned meat. Dessert is usually fresh/tinned fruit and tea. The evening meal always starts with soup (often with a healthy dose of garlic to aid acclimatization) accompanied by poppadoms, popcorn or prawn crackers. The main meal varies from local style – Dal Bhat (rice and lentils with an onion and vegetable sauce), Yak stew, momos etc. To western style – yak burgers, chips, pasta, pizza & Desserts are equally appealing and include apple pie, cake, custard etc. On the period of Expedition (Climbing period) we use dehydrated meals supplemented by chocolate, muesli bars, cheese, nuts, salami etc

Staffs and Tipping
We provide you highly experience climbing guides with government license for mountaineering, skillful high altitude cook with helpers, assistance Sherpas to settle camps ,Nepali Mountain group Leader ( Depends up on group size), Liaison officer (Government) & Essential porters, yaks or pony as per program. All the staffs will be well equipped & has insurance from local insurance company. We suggest our group to handover TIPS & BONUS for our staffs after the trip. The bonus comes as the name “Summit Bonus” which is only for your climbing guides. Tips are for your other crew member of Expedition including cook, assistance Sherpa & porters.

Flight
The domestic flights are dependable on weather condition, in some case we may stuck for long days in Himalayan airports Like Lukla, Jufal, Tumlingtar, Jomsom etc on that case we can arrange Helicopter but the cost will be extra. The accommodation before & after trip will be as per program so if there will be any extra cost you need to pay us directly.

Transportation
We provide all private transportation in Kathmandu which depends up on the group size but if in case you want to use transportation in mountain rough road, it is not possible to arrange private transportation but we can arrange reserve local transportation as per program.

Large duffel bag, Bag lock, Sandals, Watch, Camera w/batteries and extra film, Binoculars, Passport (copies of passport photos), Book, Notebook w/pencil(business card sand Postcards / photos from home), Carry-on or small duffel bag fanny pack/ money belt / passport bag.

Lightweight trekking pants, Lightweight turtleneck shirts (P/C), Expedition Shirt(P/C),Polypropylene liner socks (thin) , Short loop stitch wool blend socks, Sunglasses (100% UV Protection), Trekking cap / baseball cap, Water bottles, insulated pouch, Sunscreen (SPF 25 or greater), Lip Balm (w/ SPF 30 sunscreen), Bandanna, Nylon clothesline cord, Large insulated mug, Lighter, Sewing kit (small),Toiletries: (soap /shampoo / toothbrush toilet paper / makeup).
